With less than four months until the region’s premier event recognising success in local business, people are being asked to nominate those who have gone above and beyond.
The 2017 Moira Business Excellence Awards will be held on May 26 at the Yarrawonga Town Hall and this year include a number of new and revised categories.
Nominations are open for new categories including Excellence in e-business, Excellence in Local Produce and Good Access is Good Business, as well as Young Businessperson of the Year and Excellence in New and Emerging Business, both of which have been re-named.
Other categories are Excellence in Industry, Excellence in Tourism/Hospitality, Excellence in Professional Services and Excellence in Retail/Customer Service.
The evening’s MC will be Yarrawonga AIM breakfast host Tracie Holgate, while Gruen Transfer panelist and co-founder of Australian strategic think business The Impossible Institute, Dan Gregory, will be the evening’s guest speaker.
Creativity, collaboration, culture, change, innovation, sales and marketing are only a handful of topics Mr Gregory has tackled for organisations.
He also regularly advises C-suite executives and boards on how to lead with the power of a purposeful and compelling identity in a rapidly changing world.
In a 20-year history as a thought leader in human behaviour, marketing and communications, Mr Gregory has worked with the biggest global brands and won countless awards around the world for creativity, effectiveness and return on investment.
With his experience on the ABC’s Gruen Transfer and time spent in the United States and United Kingdom as a stand-up comedian, his delivery and timing are impeccable.
Nominations for the awards close on Friday, January 27.
