Collingwood Football Club star Dane Swan will be a guest of honour at this weekend’s Trace of Nuts Variety Show in Finley.

The comedy fundraising night will be held at the Finley RS Club from 7pm on Saturday.

Now in its eighth year, proceeds from the night will go to local charities.

Swan, a Brownlow medallist, has recently finished his stint on the reality television show I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here held in South Africa.

Organising committee member Matthew ‘Jok Bok’ Boyd said Pies’ fans are encouraged to be there on time, as Swanny will be taking photos that you can have framed and signed on the night.

He said tickets are going fast.

‘‘It’s going to be great night with a fair bit going on for the audience,’’ he said.

‘‘I can’t wait to hear the stories Swanny will have only just coming out of the jungle.’’

Comedians Chris Wainhouse and the UK’s Russell Wigginton will also feature on the evening.

Wainhouse is a Melbourne comedian with a suave attitude that has seen him steadily climb the comic ladder. He was the 1998 Comedian of the Year winner, an honour previously won by Umbilical Brothers and Carl Barron.

Wigginton is a regular headline act at some of the world’s most prestigious comedy venues, and has featured in multiple Melbourne Comedy Festival and Adelaide Fringe showcases including ‘Best of British’ and ‘Tri-nations Comedy’.

Tickets can be purchased for $50 at the Finley RS Club or by calling 58831366.
