Raffle proves a winner for all

Both prizes were donated by legendary Essendon football coach Kevin Sheedy when he visited Rochester last year for the ‘Dairy Farmers Day’.

THE St Vincent de Paul and Rochester Lions Club raffle was drawn recently at the Rochester Market — after raising a bumper total of $1110.

The winning ticket was held by Katherine Roberts of Rochester who selected a print entitled ‘The Game That Made Australia’ as her prize.

Second prize was awarded to John Van Den Bosch of Lockington who received the print ‘A Moment In Time’

Both prizes were donated by legendary Essendon football coach Kevin Sheedy when he visited Rochester last year for the ‘Dairy Farmers Day’.

Church member Marin Leddra said the proceeds would be used for the benefit of the community.

‘‘Our thanks to Kevin Sheedy for his donations and all the people who sold raffle tickets and those who purchased them,’’ he said.
