KDHS chief executive Peter Abraham said the outstanding result was thanks to the contributions of staff, the board and community members who engaged with the health service.

KYABRAM District Health Service has been given the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards accreditation after passing with flying colours.

The health service was inspected over two days last week by two surveyors who met with staff and consumers to ensure the required systems and processes were in place.

The summation confirmed all 10 standards were met, with particular recognition given to the health service’s engagement with consumers, infection control, blood safety and mandatory competencies.

KDHS chief executive Peter Abraham said the outstanding result was thanks to the contributions of staff, the board and community members who engaged with the health service.

“We would like to acknowledge the extraordinary work by everyone in achieving this great outcome,” he said.

“This cannot happen without great team work and commitment to ensuring the safety and quality of the care we deliver to our community.”
