Screening on Friday, June 16, and Saturday, June 17, is the winner of 43 film awards around the world, a touching father-daughter story, Toni Erdmann (M). Winfried doesn’t see much of his daughter Ines whose life is consumed by her job as a business consultant.

He travels to Bucharest and eventually wangles his way into her professional circle as ‘‘flashy Toni’’, an executive life coach.

The film is described as achingly funny, great cinema with strange twists as a father reaches out to his daughter.

This film will be screened at 6pm on Friday, June 16, and Saturday, June 17.

This is a single screening due to the film’s length. There is no cinema on Sunday night, June 18.

Screening on Friday, June 23, and Sunday, June 25, is a film from Iran, The Salesman (M).

After Emad and Rana move into a new apartment, an eruption of violence linked to the previous tenant changes their lives and creates tension between husband and wife.

The second film comes from Italy, Like Crazy (M).

Beatrice and Donatella are patients at a progressive but secure psychiatric clinic.

An unpredictable and moving friendship develops as they flee the clinic in search of love.
