Webinars for business success

June 15, 2017

Mitchell Shire Council is hosting a series of free webinars to help local businesses thrive, beginning later this month.

Conducted by business and industry experts, they will cover common small business issues including time management, getting a business online and finding and retaining the right staff.

The webinars will be interactive and facilitated by a member of Council’s Business Development team. They will also be recorded for people to access later.

Mitchell Shire Mayor Rhonda Sanderson said the webinars were a great way for local businesses to access information at a time that suits them.

‘‘We know business owners can be time-poor, so this webinar series is the perfect solution — you can take part in the live webinar from the comfort of home or access the recording later,’’ Cr Sanderson said.

‘‘This is just one of many ways we are working with local businesses to help create local jobs and quality investment.

‘‘As well as learning a few tips and sharing ideas, we hope these webinars help local business operators feel encouraged and excited about technology.

‘‘All of our presenters live and work in regional Victoria and understand the challenges business owners face outside of the city.’’

It’s an exciting time for businesses in Mitchell Shire, with a number of other information and networking opportunities on the horizon including a Small Business Bus visit in July and the Small Business Festival in August.
