Cobram Quilters Club members and some visitors recently spent two Saturdays at the Yarroweyah Hall working under the tutelage of Linden Lancaster in designing and making a small art quilt.

Ms Lancaster, from Picola, recently won the Australasian Convention Quilt Challenge for the second time and, according to workshop participants, is a most generous and inspirational teacher.

Sometimes a quilter may spend many months or even years creating a quilt.

With an exhibition looming in November, this workshop proved inspirational for club members.

The Cobram Quilters Exhibition will be held at the Yarroweyah Hall on November 4 and 5.

As well as members’ quilts, it will also showcase both Quilts NSW and Victorian Quilters travelling exhibitions.
