Deniliquin High School student Harry Hillier had a solid week of footy last week, representing the Riverina under-15 side at the state carnival played in Albury.
Hillier played in all five games with Riverina claiming three wins and two losses across three days. The side finished in fourth place overall.
The young Deni Rams footballer played well in several positions.
‘‘The whole team was rotated around a fair bit, so for Harry to adjust to different positions and play well was impressive,’’ Harry’s father Tim said.
‘‘The top three sides above Riverina were teams of private school and catholic school kids, so the side technically finished in first place for the public school system.
‘‘Unfortunately Harry wasn’t able to qualify for the state side but he still had a fantastic showing and should be proud.’’
