PARKLAND Golf Club will be celebrating 30 years of their club house as part of Ky in July.
Established in 1958 and evolving into a Par 3 course in 1961, the club is home to the Victorian Par 3 Championships.
Each year it sees some of the best golfers in the state come to test their mettle on the 18-hole course.
To mark the occasion, the winners of the usual men’s and woman’s events will have their names inscribed on a table made from the old club house.
There will also be a function on the night including a meal and live entertainment at the club house.
Committee member Naomi Cartwright said meals will be available on the night for $20 per person and all are welcome to attend, but bookings are essential.
“We have a great club and a great course that we want to celebrate,” she said.
“It’s a course you can test your ability on and it’s looking really good with the recent rain.
“Parkland is a great way to have some fun and get some exercise over the colder months.”
Mrs Cartwright said the club’s MyGolf program will also be teeing off in July.
The five-week program for five to twelve-year-olds aims to introduce children to the game and give them an understanding of the basics.
“It will be run on Saturday mornings from July 29,” Mrs Cartwright said.
“No experience is necessary and parents are encouraged to register their children for the program at mygolf.org.au.”
