Berrigan netball results round 13

Berrigan’s Olivia O’Neill looks for a pass on Saturday. Olivia was named as one of the best players for Berrigan’s Under 15s.

B grade: Berrigan lost to Blighty 11-44.

It was a low scoring game in the first two quarters with Berrigan never giving up and getting within five goals at one stage.

Blighty were too good in the end.

Awards: BNC Incentive - Sarah Wallis, Blue Door Coffee & Cake - Phoebe Phillips, BNC Thursday Meal - Megan Petzke, Players Player - Sarah Wallis.

C grade: Berrigan defeated Blighty 40-31.

Berrigan had another hard fought, physical game.

Young players Annie Cameron, Kaylah Smith, Ally Boyd and Lucy Phillips showed netball maturity beyond their years and helped to set Berrigan up to take the four.

Awards: Dash Cash Coffee & Cake - Joan Russell, Phillips Family Award - Kaylah Smith, Players Player - Judy Karakai.

U15s: It was a great game with huge improvement since last time Berrigan met Blighty. Scores, Blighty 24 def. Berrigan 16.

Awards: Berrigan Takeaway Small Pizza - Dana Karakai, Berrigan Football Club Canteen Award - Annabel Middleton and Olivia O’Neill, Thornton Family Award to Kaylah Smith, Federal Parma - Allyssa Thornton.

U13s: Berrigan hosted the top placed Blighty and came away with the win, 21-7.

Fabulous team play by the Saints with strong passages of play in all areas of the court. A great team effort.

Excellent defence by Lucy Phillips and Regan Fox meant Blighty were kept scoreless in the second quarter. Well done to all Saints — you should be really proud of yourselves!

U11s: The Saints were evenly matched against Blighty and held their own once again, thanks to their energy and enthusiasm.

Some great goal shooting by several players, and great pace and intercepts by the whole team showed how they’re reaping the benefits of having a turn at the different positions.

Turner Family Award went to Jessie O’Dwyer, Berrigan Pharmacy Award to Tess Middleton and Bizzy Scissors went to Molly Rice.
