It was a tight contest between the Saints and the Hoppers in the first half of the A reserve game, but with the defence working hard and accurate shooting during the second quarter the girls managed to come off with a good win in slippery conditions 40-31.
Best on courts went to Hannah Fuller for her outstanding defence and talk down the court and Jane Mackinlay for driving hard to the ring and feeding beautifully to the goalers.
B grade knew it was in for a tough game against the Saints as we went down by 16 goals when we first played them in round four.

It was a very early, cold start for Saturday’s match against Heathcote which saw Leila, Jo and Zoe step up to play their first game in under 15s and all played a fantastic match.
Heathcote played a strong first half which meant our girls had to step it up a notch.
Ella and Lizzie worked hard in goals passing and shooting confidently, Tahlia and Anna defended tightly creating many turnovers and Kealie, Zoe and Leila moved the ball well through the centre.

The primary D girls had a challenge on their hands this week.
Holidays, injuries and three players up in under 15s, we only had five players on the court.
Heathcote showed great sportsmanship in supplying us with players and Evie Coghill from Net Set Go played her first primary D game and even had a few shots at goal.
Well done to every girl on the court this week, it was tough but the girls pulled it together as a team and never gave up.
