Energetic, enthusiastic and eager, are all words that describe the young people who are involved with Benalla Theatre Company’s upcoming production of Anything Goes.
With a number of them returning as well as some newcomers, BTC is benefiting from their involvement in the show.
Hamish Nelson is returning for his third show with BTC, playing the Purser of the S.S. American, who though ranked below the Captain, is really the one running the ship.
Lia Greenhalgh in her second show, plays John one of the converts of a missionary on board, seemingly reformed of their past.
Hannah McIntosh and Holly Walkaday are also now seasoned performers with the company and are adding their creativity to roles in the chorus.
Newcomers on board the ship are Zoe Burke, Jasmine Weeks and Hannah Moncrieff.
All of them are keenly learning the art of stage craft and are excited about performing onstage.
Anything Goes is a funny musical with mistaken identities, stowaways, and the quest for true love all rolled up with the music of Cole Porter.
Many of the songs, including Gypsy In Me and Buddie Beware are laugh-out-loud funny and will be sure to have audiences laughing and tapping their feet at the same time.
Don’t miss out on the chance to see this local theatre production.
The show runs for two weekends from July 28 to August 5, including three matinees.
