VICROADS says it is exploring options for the Murray Valley Highway upgrades following the funding announcement recently.
The Victorian Government announced a $20 million investment for use between Yarrawonga and Echuca.
‘‘We are planning an engagement program that takes into account that this upgrade stretches from Echuca to Yarrawonga, and that a number of road safety improvements will be needed,’’ VicRoads regional director Mal Kersting said.
‘‘As we get closer to meeting with our communities, we will provide more information on how people can get involved.’’
More than 130km of the highway is expected to receive upgrades, including improvements to key intersections and rest stops, as well as sealing dangerous road shoulders.
