Deniliquin Clay Target Club had two shooters perform well at the NSW Riverina ZoneTrap Carnival at the national shooting grounds in Wagga Wagga earlier this month.

Tom Fellows, one of the club’s up and coming junior members, competed in B grade, taking out the point score with just two points down, 73/75.

Fellows also finished second in the single barrel with a respectable 24/25.

Veteran shooter John Maxwell was the winner in A grade in the point score event, 283/284, and the single barrel, 29/30.

Both shooters gained selection in NSW Riverina Zone teams — Maxwell making the Veterans Team and Fellows the Junior Team.

The club would like to congratulate both shooters on their performance, especially Tom on making the next step up to A grade.
