The start of a new term at Cobram Community House has seen the start of new programs and the re-commencement of some old favourites.

The start of a new term at Cobram Community House has seen the start of new programs and the re-commencement of some old favourites.

Joining the new offerings are Basic Beauty, a short course introducing participants to a career in the beauty industry, and Maths for Moving Forward, a short course designed for adults to strengthen maths skills.

Both courses are great value at $50 per head and can provide a great start to further study.

We’ll be running first aid, RSA and RSG as well as Hygiene for Food Handlers again this term, so a great opportunity to build employment skills.

Cyber Seniors is a relaxed Friday afternoon group which comes together to work through those perplexing computer problems you’ve been wrestling with.

A gold coin donation enables you to join the group and gain assistance from the group leader as well as pick the brains of other participants; coffee, cake and laughs all included.

Don’t forget there’s free legal assistance every second Wednesday evening, courtesy of Adelle Jones of Hargraves Lawyers, and free tax help provided by tax office volunteers. Maureen and Bruce have been regulars at CCH over the past few years providing free tax help for those requiring assistance, all you need to do is call and make a booking.

Keep Friday, September 1 free for our next community lunch; it’s going to be big.
