ROUND two of the Campaspe Shire Council’s community grants program is now open, offering financial support to not for profit groups within the community.
Mayor Adrian Weston said all community organisations, groups and associations who require financial support for upcoming projects or events were encouraged to apply.
“The community grants program provides the opportunity for not for profit local community groups to seek funding to assist with the important works they provide to our community,” Cr Weston said.
An amount of $112,000 is available for round two of the 2017-18 program, now open until Friday, September 15, 2017.
“From environmental initiatives, cultural exhibitions, community events and everything in between, community grants fund a diverse array of projects,’’ Cr Weston said.
Round two funding categories and allocations are as follows:
These grants aim to encourage and assist the development and implementation of events. The maximum grants available are community event $1,000; minor event $3,000; and major event $5,000.
Community support grants
This category supports the delivery of programs, projects and activities that benefit the residents of Campaspe Shire with amounts available up to $4,000.
Application forms and guidelines for round two of the community grants program can be downloaded from council’s website and are available in hard copy from all customer service centres.
Following assessment of applications, those recommended for approval will be considered at the November council meeting. Funds will be presented to successful groups in December 2017.
