St Michael’s School’s Year 6 netball team finished as runners-up in the NSW Regional Netball Competition in Wagga Wagga on Thursday last week.

After being undefeated last term, the girls won their way through to the semi-final against St Patrick’s from Albury.

The match ended in a draw with St Michael’s able to overcome the Albury side by one goal in extra time.

The Deni team then met Tumut in the decider and despite their best efforts they lost the match 22 to 11.

It was a fantastic effort from the St Michael’s team, which was coached by Melissa Westcott and Hannah Price and with special mention to student Kate Westcott who umpired after being unable to play due to injury.
