TONGALA dairy farmer Andrew Tyler is one of Murray Dairy’s two new board members.
Mr Tyler has almost 30 years of dairy experience and brings a ‘‘working knowledge and an extensive experience base’’ to the company.
He has been a director of the Australian Dairy Conference and is the Australian Dairy Conference Board deputy chair.
Mr Tyler is also a member of the Dairy Advocacy Reform Team and is the Rochester Bamawm Dairy Business Network group chair.
After receiving a large number of quality applications, Murray Dairy announced the appointment earlier this week.
Mr Tyler fills the farmer representative vacancy for the board, while Mark Bailey will fill the industry representative vacancy.
Mr Bailey is the Goulburn-Murray Water manager of resources with more than 20 years’ experience in the industry.
He has a broad skills base particularly around technical analysis, project management, budget administration and extensive technical and community liaison on policy and operational matters.
Mr Bailey has a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).
