From flipping burgers to creating the perfect coffee, McDonald’s Deniliquin is sending a team of its finest to Shepparton this weekend to contest the Super Crew titles.
Twelve employees will travel to the north Shepparton McDonald’s store tomorrow to compete in the regional finals.
The competition has different divisions for each of the operations associated with McDonald’s, including grilled products, drive thru runner/presenter, host, assembler, fried products, front counter, customer experience leader, ultimate manager and McCafe.
Last month, Deni crew members were selected to compete after being judged across all stations by restaurant managers Josh Berryman and Jaki Morris.
Deni McDonald’s shift supervisor and Super Crew contestant Korey Papandriopoulos said crew members will be assessed on a range of elements.
‘‘Depending on the area they specialise in, the competitors are judged on how good their procedures are, freshness, quality, time, customer service and more,’’ he said.
‘‘When this regional round is finished, everyone who attended Super Crew gets to go to Luna Park, and then they announce the patch final winners.
‘‘The competition is an opportunity for crew members to put their skills to the test and meet others from across the region.’’
From the judging process, McDonald’s employees from across Victoria and Tasmania — Deniliquin is zoned as a Victorian store — will be selected to compete at the zone level followed by the state level.
The state winners win an all expenses paid week-long study tour to Los Angeles.
