Woolworths and the Victorian Police Blue Ribbon Foundation are encouraging Benalla residents to kick a goal for charity this month by teaming up on their annual Victorian wall token fundraiser.
Until October 3, 100 per cent of funds raised through purchases of $2 footy shaped wall tokens at Woolworths Benalla will help the Blue Ribbon Foundation support Victoria’s public hospitals.
Customers can purchase a wall token and choose to add their name to it, which will be proudly displayed in stores as a public show of support.
The Blue Ribbon Foundation supports a wide range of activities across Victoria that raise funds for important projects.
The foundation provides funding for new and improved emergency facilities in public hospitals named in memory of fallen officers, remembering lives by saving others.
Blue Ribbon Foundation chairman David Mann said Woolworths customers and team members across Victoria had been long-term supporters of Blue Ribbon Day, helping raise more than $1,128,755 in three years.
‘‘Blue Ribbon Day falls this year on September 29, but Woolworths customers can help kick a goal for the foundation from September 6 to October 3,’’ he said.
‘‘Funds raised make a big difference and will benefit public hospitals across the state, so we’re very grateful for the support and generosity of Benalla customers.’’
