Benalla Detectives are appealing to witnesses after a blue Ford sedan was stolen from a Cook St address between 8 am and 12 pm on Sunday, March 25.

The vehicle was located at 12.25 pm in Terrett Rd, Goomalibee with evidence that the interior had been set alight.

Any persons seeing this vehicle leaving Cook St, in transit or at the Gomalibee location should call Benalla Police Station on 5760 0200

Police are investigating the theft of a motorbike from Palmerston St Baddaginnie around midday on Sunday, February 4.

Two offenders removed motorbike from shed in back yard.

Wheeled the motorbike down driveway and out front gate before being confronted by occupant of house.

Motorbike left on footpath at front of house and offenders took off north along Palmerston Street.

Operation Nexus

Easter long weekend state wide policing operation. Thursday, March 29 - Monday, April 2.

Police are asking that all motorists take their time, plan their trips and ensure they monitor fatigue (don't drive for too long), take breaks.

Watch your speed, don't drink and drive or use drugs and drive.. Put the mobile phone in the glove box, always wear a seat-belt and make sure your passengers do to.

Additional resources will be in attendance throughout  the weekend including Booze Buses, State Highway Patrol, Special Solo Units and Heavy vehicle units.
