Cobram

A man was arrested following a burglary and theft in Orchard Crt on Saturday night.

The Barooga man, 38, was interviewed and charged with a number of offences relating to the burglary, as well as offences relating to resisting arrest and assaulting police.

He was remanded in custody at an out-of-sessions court hearing.

●A man has been charged with assault after an altercation with another man in the Cobram Regional Park near Horseshoe Lagoon.

The offender, 41, was arrested and bailed to face Cobram court. The two men knew each other.

●A man stole meat and groceries from Woolworths on Thursday night.

The man placed several items in a blue cooler bag and walked out of the store making no attempt to pay.

He was aged in his mid 40s and was wearing a red polo shirt, navy and white shorts and a peaked cap.

Numurkah

Detectives are searching for a man after a violent domestic incident in Meiklejohn St last week.

The man, 19, fled on foot and is now believed to be using a white 2012 Mazda CX5 wagon, registration CLEM16.

Barmah

Thieves stole a vintage Ford hot rod valued at $75000 from a Barmah property between 5pm and 10pm on Friday night.

The offenders smashed a window to access the garage at the residential property in Lawford St.

The 1931 Ford, registration 02301M, was possibly loaded on to a trailer.

A $8000 metal detector and two chainsaws were also stolen.
