Custom cuppas, cars, cakes and fundraising

By Riverine Herald

FOR anyone who loves custom cars — and helping in the fight against cancer — this weekend is providing you with the chance to combine both passions.

The Rich River Rod and Custom Club is all revved up about staging its Biggest Morning Tea event on Sunday, May 20.

As well as the cuppas and cakes there will also be a show ‘n’ shine of some classic cars and motorbikes as well as a morning tea and sausage sizzle.

An auction of donated goods will also take place and there will be raffles held as well.

The same event raised about $3500 last year and the 2018 organisers are hopeful of making that the bare minimum come Sunday.

Everyone is encouraged to bring along their custom car or motorbike — or simply come along for a look and partake in the morning tea, which is available for a $5 donation.

All the money that is raised on the day will be donated to the Cancer Council to help with research.

The event will be held at Old Time Autos at 34 Hume St, Echuca, from 9.30am to 12.30pm.
