MURRAY River Council will soon be introducing changes to the opening hours of several of its office locations.
General manager Des Bilske said the changes were being made to standardise operational hours across the whole of the council area.
“We’ve currently got a number of different operating hours at different towns, which can be confusing for residents dealing with multiple officers or customer service centres,’’ he said.
“We’ve come a long way in aligning services across all of our locations, and this is just another step to ensure consistency for our residents.’’
The new operating hours are as follows:
Moama, Moulamein, Barham and Mathoura offices and Mathoura Visitor and Business Centre:
9am-4pm, Monday- Friday.
Moulamein Business Centre:
9.30am – 1pm, Monday-Friday.
The new operating hours will take effect from Monday, July 2.
Service NSW Functions are 9am-4pm, so there will be no reduction of service in this area.
Staff paid hours will remain the same.
Mr Bilske assured residents that services at the centres — such as banking, Service NSW and general council functions — will remain the same.
Library hours also remain unchanged.
‘‘We hope these changes will provide consistency for our residents when accessing our customer service centres or liaising with council officers across our various locations,’’ Mr Bilske said.
