THE Echuca Moama Mountain Bike Club held their biggest event of the year on Sunday, with the racing of the All the Rivers Moama Five Mile MTB Three hour Enduro.
Some 127 riders made the trip to the Five Mile track to compete, with club president Paul Oman saying it was a great day.
‘‘We’re really pleased with how the day went,’’ he said. ‘‘We had a great turnout on the day, not only the competitors, but also with a really strong crowd coming out.
‘‘We as a club are very fortunate that our club in partnership with NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service are able to hold our event at the Five Mile Reserve mountain bike park.’’
Max Heizer produced the best overall ride in the men’s category, completing 10 laps of the 7.8km track, the only competitor in any category to complete 10 laps.
Regan Hollioake was the leading female solo competitor, completing eight laps.
It was no off day for the locals either.
