Team wins top dining award

Nagambie Beefsteak and Burgundy Club vice president Michael Layton presents the restaurant of the year award to Sarah Beaumont of Box Grove Vineyard.

The Nagambie Beefsteak and Burgundy Club recently announced their Restaurant of the Year.

Each month the club visits a food venue in the Nagambie/Seymour area and at its annual meeting decides on the best meal.

This year the winner was Sarah Beaumont of Box Grove Vineyard, located on Avenel-Nagambie Rd.

Ms Beaumont and her team prepared and presented an outstanding dinner which was voted the best for the year.

The interesting aspect was that Ms Beaumont does not have a restaurant, but provided the dinner to members in the dining room of their home during a special evening that also entailed tasting the range of wines presented at the local Shiraz Challenge.

It was a unique opportunity for members to taste some of Australia’s best Shiraz wines.

The club welcomes new members and guests. Potential members may attend two meetings before deciding to join.
