Field & Game winds year up

December 06, 2017

Almost 100 participants turned out for Seymour Field and Game

Saturday, December 2 saw Seymour Field and Game hold their final shoot for the year at their grounds in Lambing Gully Rd, Avenel.

This was a two-man team event (with combined handicaps), sponsored by Seymour Goulburn Murray Credit Union, and even with the weather forecast against us, 74 shooters turned up and finished before the heavens opened again.

The team event winners were as follows:

First — Jeremiah Tennant and Kai Furletti;

Second — Seb Ewart and Lorne Quick;

Third — Anthony Tennant and Brian Baker.

Other placegetters were:

Douglas and Max Hooper, Rod Pratt and Tony Brown, David Hooper and Alan Coombs, Don Lomas and Paul Mott, and Joe Hollyoak and Peter Lee.

After the competition, the club handed out their yearly aggregate awards and this was followed by an excellent barbecue put on by the ladies.

Overall High Gun winner was Matt Baker.

Handicap winner was Logan Baker.

AA-grade — Alan Coombs.

A-grade — Eddie Loughnane.

B-grade — Brian Baker.

C-grade — Jake Moffat.

Ladies — Jess Parkinson.

Veterans — John Leatham.

Juniors — Brayden Baker.

A big thanks to all our sponsors throughout the year and to all our magnificent volunteers, for without you all, our club wouldn’t continue to flourish.
