Jerilderie’s St Joseph’s Primary School hosted its annual Showcase Extravaganza last week at the Jerilderie Civic Hall.

Parents and friends throughout Jerilderie attended to watch the students.

Many of the young talents ranged from instrumental items, classical dancing, tap dancing, singing and a performance from the school band.

Principal Mandy Catena said it was wonderful to see the students enjoy their performances.

‘‘The students and teachers worked hard on rehearsals at the hall,’’ she said.

‘‘Mia Neessen, Amelia Wells and Brigit Hamilton were our comperes for the evening and did a fantastic job introducing each item.

‘‘It was a great night for our talented students; our thanks to everyone who was involved.’’

All students performed together singing Stand By Me to conclude the Extravaganza.

As well as showcasing performing art talents, the evening was also an opportunity to celebrate visual art efforts.

Student artworks created throughout the year were on display for the parents and community members to admire, including during supper at the end of the night.
