THIS year’s Tongala Christmas carols event is set to shine brighter than ever.
With the town’s Christmas decorations going up last week, the sound shell has been decorated with a new garland ready for the Christmas season.
Robbie Graham has helped with the organising of the event and said the new decorations will liven up this year’s festivities.
“The decorations on the sound shell needed replacing so we spoke with Belinda Owen and the Shire of Campaspe who managed to do it with this year’s shire funding,” she said.
“We try to do something different in the town each year just to brighten things up.”
The organisers are hoping for clear weather to get everyone in the mood for a Christmas singalong.
Robbie said the event is made possible through the tireless work of locals.
“There is a lot of work that goes into the carols event here, Lyn Hope and team put on an amazing show each year,” she said.
Tongala’s Christmas carols are on Saturday, December 9 at the sound shell on Mangan St at 6pm.
