SES to the rescue
SATURDAY evening in Kyabram a 60-foot gum tree comes crashing down on our roof. Thank you to the four SES men that came out to help us.
Residents’ group still an independent voice
SEVERAL people have contacted me in regards to the photograph published in the Kyabram Free Press of November 29, 2017 which shows me and seven others ‘at the recent One town, One Voice forum’.
Without any explanation for the photograph or article accompanying it, they had formed the opinion that Kyabram Deakin Residents Ratepayers and Development Group (KDRRADG) had amalgamated with One Town, One Voice (OTOV).
We need to make it quite clear that this is quite incorrect.
Along with Maria Radanov we are on the steering committee as KDRRADG representatives to ascertain if there could be any benefits for Kyabram and district in the formation of another organisation.
So far the wish list put forward by some people to make ‘our town and district a great place to be’ is just not financially viable in my opinion.
At our November meeting, KDRRADG discussed the OTOV proposal and there did not appear to be any overwhelming support for what has been put forward so far but we’ll discuss it again at our January meeting and make a decision then.
As always, KDRRADG is open to public meetings. In the meantime, I take the opportunity to wish everyone the compliments of the season.
Mary Bowman, President, KDRRADG
