Mayor Adrian Weston said the grant program offers financial support to the shire’s not-for-profit sector to make the municipality a more vibrant and stimulating place for people to live, work and visit.

ROUND two of Campaspe Shire Council funding has been announced for the 2017/18 Community Grants program.

The funding means community groups, clubs and associations have a share in the $112,348 from the shire of Campaspe.

Mayor Adrian Weston said the grant program offers financial support to the shire’s not-for-profit sector to make the municipality a more vibrant and stimulating place for people to live, work and visit.

“The grants program supports and empowers communities to deliver a broad range of projects for the benefit of the wider Campaspe community,” Cr Weston said.

“Whether it be an environmental project, staging an event, purchase of equipment, or a community program, Campaspe volunteers are providing opportunities for people to become more involved at the local level.

“People working together in a voluntary capacity for the greater good is what makes Campaspe the friendly, vibrant and resilient community it is. The grants program helps to make their great ideas and locally identified initiatives a reality.”
