Cinema Pop Up is coming to Seymour this Summer, and is free for those who book online.
Featuring an outdoor movie experience at Kings Park, Cinema Pop Up is about providing locals and visitors the opportunity to experience an outdoor cinema and all the entertainment surrounding the event in their local environment.
Cinema Pop Up will run for four nights only, from February 1 up to and including February 4 and is catering for all featuring the following favourite movies:
February 1: The Goonies;
February 2: The Lego Batman Movie;
February 3: Pitch Perfect;
February 4: Dodgeball: A true underdog story.
The pop-up roadshow will feature food trucks, frozen drinks, popcorn and a bar.
Families are encouraged to come along early, get a good spot, and set up with blankets and cushions for a picnic before the movie kicks off.
Tickets are limited and available for free when booking online; gates open at 6pm.
Supported by the Transport Accident Commission (TAC), Toyota Prime Super and the Seymour Business and Tourism committee, tickets are available for purchase at the gate from only $10 for adults and $5 for children.
Toyota regional marketing manager Jeremy Watson said, ‘‘supporting community events is part of Toyota’s DNA and the team at Seymour Toyota are incredibly proud to be supporting this event in Seymour’’.
TAC senior road safety manager Samantha Cockfield said Cinema Pop Up is a new way for the TAC to get its road safety message into regional Victoria.
‘‘Victorians are four times more likely to die on country roads so we’re always looking for new ways to help country Victorians get home safely, every time they get behind the wheel,’’ she said.
Cinema Pop Up is the largest outdoor regional cinema operator in Victoria, with pop ups running throughout regional Victoria all summer.
Cinema Pop Up director Kate Hardwick said she was excited to bring this event to regional Victoria.
‘‘These are the types of experiences you would traditionally only be able to access in metro cities, however we understand and value the importance of local communities,’’ she said.
‘‘Having these magnificent partners on board, especially the support and drive from Seymour Business and Tourism means we can offer a free experience people can share in together.’’
