Benalla Golf Club had an early round on Saturday in an attempt to avoid the heat.

The club still had a good turnout, with 57 players competing.

Michael Levy topped the points charts with 44 in B-grade, while Brett Warnock won A-grade on countback from Adam Levy, both scoring 41.

B-grade’s runner up was Michael Polworth on 41 points.

C-grade went to Chris Plum returning 43 points to place Mark Schedlich a close second on 42.

A good field of 75 players entered a stableford event on Wednesday.

The winner of A-grade was Blair Ferguson returning 41 points on countback from Ian Wise.

B-Grade went to Stewart Paton on 42 points placing Tony Williams second on 40 points.

In C-Grade Ray Jensen was successful with 43 points followed by Len Sherlock on 39 points.

The first round of the Purdy’s Putter Challenge will go ahead this Saturday.
