ROCHESTER Junior Fire Brigade claimed 14 medals on the weekend in preparation for the upcoming state championships.
The junior firefighters competed on Saturday in Kerang where the brigade had a fantastic day and posted strong times throughout.
In total the brigade snared 14 medals, two of which were gold and four silver.
More points were put on the board from a further two third-place finishes, two fourths and a fifth placing.
Brothers in arms out on the course, Calvin and Daniel Barkby, combined to snag high place finishes as they went on to win the two-person Marshall event against 12 other teams.
This Saturday’s action sees the juniors competing in Echuca, before heading to the state championships in Warrnambool the week after.
The state championships will see two days of competition against 75 other brigades from across Victoria.
