Fifteen Cobram locals have had a stellar start to their week after their long-running store syndicate won a total prize of $1,156,129.25 in the weekend’s TattsLotto Superdraw – a $104,008.62 prize for each share ticket holder!
In addition to winning the division one prize of $1,500,000, the syndicate entry also won division two six times, division three 12 times, division four 45 times and division five 20 times, bolstering their total prize amount to $1,560,129.25.
In another example of syndicate success, it was one of three division one winning entries in Victoria, and one of 14 division one winning entries nationally in the weekend’s $21 million Superdraw event.
The store syndicate consisting of a marked System 9 and three System 7 entries was sold at Cobram Lotto, 34 Punt Road, Cobram.
Owner of Cobram Lotto, Dean Clydesdale, said he has a busy morning as a frenzy of winners have come in to claim their prize.
“It’s very exciting! We’ve had winners coming in all morning to claim their prize!” he exclaimed.
“Some have known already, but I’ve been able to break the news to some which is just fantastic.
“A couple have said they will use it on house renovations but we are yet to hear from all of our winners.
“We’ve been telling all of our customers we sold a division one winning entry and put some signs up, it’s certainly created a buzz around town.”
Dean also explained the store syndicate had been running for many years.
“We’ve owned the place for about 15 years, but this syndicate was set up by the old owner, about 18 years ago,” he shared.
“When he set it up he called it ‘2B’ but now we call it ‘To be or not to be!’
“The same regular players from the local area play it every week and they’ve had some smaller wins over the years but nothing like this.”
The six winning numbers in Saturday TattsLotto draw 3815 on Saturday 10 February 2018 were 7, 27, 23, 2, 16 and 44, while the supplementary numbers were 25 and 28.
Across Australia, there were 14 division one winning entries – four from Victoria, three from South Australia, three from New South Wales, three from Western Australia, and one from Queensland.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 276 so far this financial year, including 96 won by Tatts customers.
