Library life to be captured

By Benalla Ensign

The next time you step into the Benalla Library you might see a camera or two.

This is because the Benalla Camera club has recently received a community grant from Benalla Rural City to run a joint project with the Library.

The project, ‘‘A Day In the Life Of the Library’’, documents the visitors, staff and activities that take place on a typical day.

Project coordinator Jen Fawkes said the program was beneficial for the camera club and the library.

‘‘Projects like this are great for both our members and for our library,’’ Ms Fawkes said.

‘‘Our members get a chance to learn about using model releases and about taking environmental portraits and at the end of the project the library get a selection of images they can use to promote services and activities.’’

During the next three weeks members of the Benalla Camera Club will be visiting different groups at the library as well as random visits to capture daily library life.

Images will be displayed at the library from July 16 to 27.
