Bank opens community grant opportunity

By The McIvor Times

Representatives from Heathcote and surrounding community groups are invited to attend an information session on the upcoming Heathcote and District Community Bank’s annual grants program.
The session will be held at the Heathcote Guide Hall 6pm on Tuesday, June 3. Branch Manager Michael Prowse said the grants program will help support local community groups and organisations by making funding available for projects.

“Our point of difference is that our profits are returned back into the local community, our annual grants program is just one of the ways we are able to do this,” Mr Prowse said.
“This year we’re asking attendees to the information session to submit a short 30-second video outlining their project. This could include footage of your current situation, an interview on your plans and the people involved in the project. But don't worry; we're not expecting professional footage.

"We're talking quick, shot on your mobile phone type videos or alternatively you’re welcome to send through approximately 10 photographs. We’ll show these at the information session and there will be some open discussion and question and answer time so even if you don’t have a project in mind we encourage you to attend to gain some information on the program” Mr Prowse said.
Tea, coffee and light refreshments will be available. RSPV’s are appreciated for catering purposes.

Videos or photos are required to be submitted to via email to by Sunday, July 1. Applications for the Community Grants Program will open Monday July 2 and will close Monday July 30. Applications can be made online at
