The Yarrawonga-Mulwala RSL Sub Branch is keen to know numbers attending its 100-year celebratory dinner for Wednesday, March 28.
The milestone dinner at ClubMulwala is pre-dinner drinks at 6.00pm for a 7.00pm start.
“We are keen to know numbers for catering purposes for this huge milestone celebration,” RSL President Ian Summers said.
Mr Summers and RSL Secretary Brian Cossar OAM urge people to contact club reception as quickly as possible.
“We need to also get seats at tables - we need to know numbers. Time is fast approaching and we want to firm up on numbers,” Mr Cossar said.
“It’s going to be a magnificent evening celebrating 100 years of achievement of the RSL.”
State President of RSL Dr Robert Webster OAM will be special guest speaker for the outstanding milestone achievement. Master of Ceremonies will be David King.
“The Wangaratta Pipe Band will be here. They’ve been great support on Anzac day,” Mr Summers said.
RSL’s 100 Years Sub Committee is busy and proceeding very well according to Mr Summers.
Formed in December, the sub-committee comprises Stan Clarke OAM, John Dunstan and Pat Andrews (Auxiliary representative). The committee co-opts Mr Summers and Mr Cossar as required.
“The CWA has been supportive of the RSL during that 100-year journey,” the president said. “The whole community has been involved in some way.
“We just need our members to ring through their attendance details regarding the dinner as quickly as possible.”
