Five young female students in years six and seven at Yarrawonga P-12 College bravely shaved their heads recently in aid of the World’s Greatest Shave.

Together Maddi Lyons, Maddy Turnell, Montana Skipper, Alicia Eddy and Olivia Spithill raised over six thousand dollars as well as donating their pony tails to the World’s Greatest Shave during two events they organised themselves including a Family Fun Night at the Royal Mail Hotel in Mulwala on April 7.
Montana Skipper decided to shave her head on the Family Fun night and bet her mum Kristina that if she herself could raise $2000 mum would shave her head too.
Lucky for Montana she was able to raise $2000 and Kristina also shaved her head alongside the girls.
Alicia Eddy, who had hair down to her waist cut her hair above her shoulders while the additional four girls decided to completely shave their locks with varying different hairdressers completing the job.
Olivia Spithill sectioned her hair into a dozen pony tails and sold tickets in the lead up that were then drawn out of a hat on the day.
The person with the drawn name, then got to chop off one of the sections of hair before the hairdressers stepped in and shaved the rest off.
With varying reasons for the girls decision to shave their heads, some in honor of loved ones, they didn’t hesitate the big chop.
Collectively they agreed it was a great cause and they were only too happy to lose their locks.
