Louise Adkins and her specialist team have gone above and beyond by donating their beauty expertise to spoil these women.

Today is ‘‘Boob Day’’ at Benalla’s Lavish Skin Therapy Clinic as doors are closed to regular customers so 12 local women living with breast cancer can be pampered.

Louise Adkins and her specialist team have gone above and beyond by donating their beauty expertise to spoil these women.

Louise said this was the third time Lavish had donated a day for this cause and she was motivated by being able to give back to the community.

‘‘We’ve got these skills that can make a woman feel special. It’s one of our biggest rewards that we get to give them an uplifting experience,’’ Louise said.

‘‘Over four years we have done three of these days and we definitely plan to keep doing them in the future.’’

Louise said the idea of ‘‘boob day’’ was a collaboration with local breast cancer nurse Kerry Patford.

‘‘Kerry recommends ladies who she feels deserve to be spoilt,’’ Louise said.

‘‘They’re all at different stages of their treatment, some are recovering and feel overwhelmed by the experience.

‘‘Some are still receiving treatment and boob day is a nice pick-me-up. Some are in their final stages, and it’s just something nice we can do for them.

‘‘We’re just happy to give up some time to to do our bit. Some of these ladies have never experienced a facial, massage or a make over.

‘‘There are similar initiatives available in Melbourne, but a lot of women don’t have access to the city, so we’re pleased we can offer something here in Benalla.’’
