Blighty Football Club will host AFL great Dustin Fletcher tomorrow night.
The two-time Essendon premiership defender will take the reins for the night, leading a junior footy clinic as well as training with the senior footballers.
Fletcher, the Essendon games record holder with 400 career matches, will then hold a question and answer talk during a dinner following the training session.
Blighty president Michael Norman said the night will be beneficial for everyone at the club.
‘‘The kids look up to players like Dustin Fletcher so it’ll be a fantastic experience for them,’’ he said.
‘‘I’m sure he’ll have plenty of things to teach the young footballers.
‘‘It’s not often a community like Blighty would have an opportunity like this, so we’re hoping for a big turnout.
‘‘Everyone is welcome to come out, whether you’re a footballer or just a footy fan.’’
The junior clinic will start at 5pm, followed by senior training at 6pm. The dinner and talk will kick off at 7.30pm with a cost of $20 for adults, and children up to the age of 18 are free. Food available on the night will be a roast roll and chips for $5.
