One issue that will be discussed is mistletoe and its place in the natural system.

THIS Saturday you’re invited along to learn about mistletoe in the area.

Mistletoe Friend or Foe? is a field day at Graytown/Wirrate exploring a 20-year woodland management regeneration project on a 200ha property.

The box ironbark property has been transformed into a nature lover’s paradise and locals are welcome to explore.

One issue that will be discussed is mistletoe and its place in the natural system.

Why do ironbark trees succumb to infestations of mistletoe, yet other trees do not?

And a highlight of the day will be professor Dave Watson discussing his book Mistletoes of Eastern Australia and answering other mistletoe questions.
