Under-16

Benalla Bulldogs came up against ladder-leaders Myrtleford on Sunday, the final margin extending past 100 points.

Myrtleford has taken all before them this season, undefeated after five rounds with an average winning margin of 166 points.

After a relatively even first quarter, which saw the Bulldogs kick three goals, the home side shifted into top gear kicking 19 goals to six in the remaining three quarters.

Despite the dominant display, the Bulldogs to their credit fought out the game strongly with Chelton Orchard, Bode Stevens, Nathan Davies, Oscar Major, Zac Calvert and Aaron Cooke among the best.

Davies kicked three goals for the Doggies who now take on Wangaratta Imperials in a must-win game.

Under-14

Still chasing their first win of the season, the Under-14 Bulldogs were no match for Myrtleford.

A goal-less first half saw the Doggies trail at half-time by 100 points.

The Doggies managed four second-half goals to take some positives into next week.

Miller Gilchrist, Tom Hayes, Henry Hill, Darcy Edgar, Tom Riley and Cassidy Mailer were the best players.

Benalla Giants had the bye and will take on Wangaratta Tigers this Sunday.

Under-12

In Under-12 matches, Myrtleford made it a clean sweep against a determined Benalla White side, which fought hard for four quarters.

Rory Sammon continued his great form, while Sam Cox, Cooper Gracie, Chloe Edgar, Zac Schluter and Bailey Dervish tried hard and contributed strongly.

In the other Under-12, Benalla Green were defeated by Wangaratta Magpies.

Unfortunately, no scores have been uploaded from the match.

This Sunday, Benalla Green will be looking to rebound strongly against Bright, while Benalla Red take on Wangaratta Tigers. Both games will be played at the Gardens Oval.

Benalla White will be chasing the points against Wangaratta Imperials in Wangaratta.
