Take care on our roads

Cobram Highway Patrol is urging drivers to be conscious of the decisions they make when on the roads.

Police will be out in force during the holiday period to target the five leading causes of death and serious injury on our roads — speed, impairment, distraction, not wearing seatbelts and fatigue.

They are also urging residents to register absence from their residence while away during the holiday season.

This information could be used to reach you or your emergency contact if there is an incident at your home or to perform patrols in the area.

People can access this online at police.vic.gov.au or forms can be lodged personally at a local police station.
