Cobram’s A-grade netball side was stopped dead in its tracks on the march home to the Murray Netball League finals.
The side was hit hard by The Road in a crushing five-goal defeat, the final score 38-43.
In a round 10 rematch, Cobram underestimated Congupna and this time it was the Road who came away victors.
Last week coach Kate Bird said she had high hopes for the day and expected to send Congupna packing with a larger margin than the eight goals previously.
The Tigers have the bye to lick their wounds before facing Tungamah in a round eight rematch, which could be a tough game based on last weekend’s performance.
