By Corowa Free Press

The Yamaha Cod Classic is just around the corner with anglers from all parts of the nation will be descending on Lake Mulwala to compete in the event to be held on November 30, December 1 and 2.

More than 3,000 entries are again expected for the annual classic that is now in its 19th year.

The fishing competitions start on Saturday, December 1 at 6.30am until 6.30pm and lucky door prizes will be drawn in the evening; competition resumes on Sunday at 6.30am until 10.30am with all the fishing prizes to be awarded at the completion.

Anglers will be looking to share in the staggering prize pool that totals in excess of $200,000. Seven boating packages, a Toyota Hilux Ute, the chance to spend 30 seconds in a cash grab machine, a list of major goods too long to mention along with 1000 plus minor lucky door prizes, the majority of competitors will be going home with a smile on their face. Amazingly, after the completion of this year's event a staggering total of 110 boating packages will have been given away through the Cod Classic.

Designed for the family with all levels of fishing skills catered for, everybody has a chance of winning one of the many great prizes on offer whether fishing from boat or bank, using either bait or lures. Majority of prizes are randomly drawn with you not having to catch a fish to be a winner! Those that are lucky enough to register either a legal size Murray Cod or 45cm+ Golden Perch go into additional draws to win extra great prizes.
