St Aug’s gets the ball rolling

IT’S all systems go for the inaugural GMCU Interschool Golf Croquet Tournament to be held at the Shepparton Croquet Club on December 10.

St Augustine’s College will be sending a team of six made up of locals Brodie Currie, Chloe Villani, Noah Smith, Xander Wearne, Jhana Parumog and Lachlan Steele.

The group has been training with members of the Kyabram Croquet Club with Raylene McDonald in particular assisting them with guidance and expertise.

The Goulburn Murray Credit Union will sponsor the event and will provide prizes for the winning team.

St Aug’s will compete against Deniliquin High School, GV Grammar, Wanganui Park Secondary College, Euroa Secondary College and Shepparton High School.

Parents are welcome to attend, with play to begin at 9.30am.

The aim of the interschool tournament is to allow students to enjoy themselves while learning a new sport.
