Lilyanna chosen from hundreds

By David Rak

Lilyanna Cardamone will represent Victoria at the Miss of Australia national finals.

Lilyanna, 11, was one of hundreds of entries into the beauty pageant from across the country.

She said she was in disbelief that she made the finals.

Competing in her first pageant, the Year 6 student will now begin preparing for the finals in October that require her to perfect multiple outfit changes that she has picked based on her personality.

At the finals, Lilyanna will lead with the message that ‘‘all girls are beautiful and deserve love and respect’’.

‘‘I’m really excited about the finals and I’m thankful to have so much support from around the Goulburn Valley,’’ Lilyanna said.

‘‘I believe it’s not about winning the title, but showing all girls that when you believe in yourself, anything is possible.’’
