The stableford event sponsored by Mitre 10 was played in perfect sunny conditions, making for some good scores. Janette Hayward won A-grade with 37 points, closely followed by Sue Turnbull with 36 points. B-grade winner was Phyl Fiddes who had the best score of the day with 40 points. Kerry Gross, who has only recently taken up golf, had a lovely score of 36 points to be runner-up in B-grade.

Ball winners: Judy Baker, Terri Wangeman, Larysa Phillingham 35, Robyn Downs and Roylyn Harris 34 points.

Nearest-the-pins: Gallery Café third: Heather Long; Tatura Hot Bread sixth: Di Day; Café Alofa ninth: Terri Wangeman; One4One Café 14th: Lyn Flett.

Encouragement Award: Rita Fairchild.

Nine-Hole competition: The ever reliable Joyce Tavener was the winner with 18 points.

Pennant: The team travelled to Mooroopna and played Numurkah, where they were hoping for a win to remain on top of the ladder.

Veterans final: The final will be played on Friday between Joan Hill and Liz Mulcahy and an excellent game is anticipated.

Women members are encouraged to come out to watch the game, and then to enjoy the refreshments back at the clubhouse.

Wednesday’s event: Multiplier Stableford (two players) nine-hole event followed by the AGM at 1pm.
