$40m Sebel progressing well

The $40 million luxury Sebel Point Resort Apartments at Silverwoods Golf and Lifestyle Resort is charging forward with a planned completion date expected around March, 2020.

Lotus Living Project Director Daniel Smith said the development has progressed incredibly well since the Christmas break.

He said the first stage – 65 apartment complex and accompanying wellness centre and spa, pool area, gym, admin and restaurant and bar areas are on target.

“Stage one of the accommodation building’s third floor slab is now fifty per cent poured.  By the end of February it is expected to all be completed,” Mr Smith said.  

“Third floor framing will commence in early March. 

“The function room bar and bistro concrete slab will be poured by mid-March.  Steel works are to commence early March. 

“We will be commencing roof works on the entire complex by Easter. “ 

Mr Smith said the infinity pool works are expected to also commence in early March and the spa treatment room walls have since commenced and are expected for completion at the end of February.

The complex features a unique modern and slick design created by renowned company Cox Architects and is being built by Hutchinson Builders.

“We welcome all the community and visitors to Yarrawonga to come on down and see how it’s really starting to take shape. We want to share our excitement with everyone,” Mr Smith said.

Upon completion Sebel Yarrawonga will offer a 117-room boutique hotel and serviced apartments. In addition to the hotel, it will also encompass first class amenities including bar and bistro, fine-dining restaurant, 300-person conference facility, a pool, gymnasium and other health club facilities, all built on the Lake Mulwala waterfront. 

The development will bring with it 134 direct and indirect jobs and many jobs during its construction.

The amount of workers on the site is expected to peak at around 80-100 as construction ramps up.

Mr Smith said Lotus Living is engaging local trades and businesses throughout the build and construction phases, which means they are providing tremendous support to the local people and local economy.
